All Water Softeners requires Salt to regenerate. The Resin of any Water Softener cleans and activates itself by exchanging ions with NaCl Tablets. If you are using a Manual Water Softener, you regenerate it by yourself so you are always aware when there is no Salt in Brine Tank and you can refill the brine tank with salt upon sufficient depletion of salt in it.
Most of the time, certainly in Automatic Water Softeners, there are high chances of salt getting depleted and you might be unaware of when to refill the brine tank with salt because the regeneration is automatic and the salt in brine tank is getting consumed regularly. If there is no salt in Brine Tank and regeneration occurs, the Resin Beads cannot activate themselves for further softening of your Hard Water.

How It Works
With every Purity Hub's Automatic Water Softener, there comes a Low Salt Alarm and its fittings. The buzzer is provided with an On-Off switch. Whenever you listen the alarm is buzzing, you need to inform your Purity Hub Service Partner for a Salt Refill and meanwhile you can switch off the alarm. Once the salt is refilled, the sensors connected gets to know the Salt has been replenished and they would not send any further command to buzzer. Now you can turn on the switch to On Position so whenever again the salt is depleted, again the sensors can give a low salt signal.
